School Council

Please visit the Agincourt Road School Council Facebook Page

School Council consists of parents who want their children to get as much out of their education as possible, moulding the school into the best learning environment possible. The support provided by the Council provides an even more enriched and diverse experience for all students at Agincourt. Council advocates for Agincourt Rd. students and parents. Parents are the majority on Council along with the principal, vice principal, and representatives of the teaching staff. Our Council is a member of the Ottawa-Carleton Association of School Councils (OCASC). We focus on improving the educational and social lives of the students. Council keeps parents informed about Council activities and important school news through a monthly newsletter and a Council website. Council organizes social activities and services including a pizza program, a lunch-time milk program, cultural events for students, social evenings, a spring BBQ, and the Family Dance. Council helps improve students’ educational lives by fundraising for activities that enrich the students’ learning experience at school. Fundraising is an ongoing Council function, and Agincourt Rd. P.S. enjoys a rich tradition of successful events such the Used Book Sale and the Walk-a-thon. The Agincourt Rd. School Council meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00p.m. Meetings are held in the school library. Meetings are open and everyone is invited to attend.

Come out to the meetings. Get involved and participate or learn first hand what is happening at your child’s school.
