In-Person Message

Welcome Parents/Guardians and Agincourt Students to the 2025/2026 School Year!

We hope that you have had a happy and restful summer. It is hard to believe summer is coming to a close; however, we are excited to see your children and hear about their summer adventures. We would like to take a moment to welcome all new families to the Agincourt community and welcome back all returning families. As anticipated, we would also like to welcome all students who are learning virtually to our school community.

For those of you who are new to Agincourt this year, welcome! We are excited to meet you! My name is Courtney O’Halloran. This is my third year as Principal at Agincourt. I have two sons. I have two children, ages 5 and 8 who attend an OCDSB school. When I am not at work, I am likely enjoying watching my kids play soccer.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Melissa Brazeau as Agincourt’s Vice-Principal. Melissa’s message to Agincourt families is below:

I'm excited to be starting my second year at Agincourt! I have three daughters, now 7, 9, and 11, who are heading into grades two, four, and six. My free time is mostly spent as a chauffeur, driving them to soccer practices, games, and dance classes.I'm looking forward to catching up on everyone's summer adventures and making this a fantastic year together.

Please see the information below regarding entry and dismissal procedures for the 2025-2026 school year for students attending Agincourt in-person:

The first day of school for all students attending JK to Grade 8 is Tuesday, September 2nd. Supervision each day begins at 8:15 am and ALL students will be dismissed at 3:00 pm. Please ensure that you are on time to pick up at 3:00 pm, if your child is a walker. If they are registered for EDP after school or are taking the bus, your child will be escorted to EDP or the bus line.

Parents/guardians and children who do not attend Agincourt are asked to stay off school grounds and behind the fenced area in front of the school. Please do not come on to the yards, as staff will be supervising and organizing children as quickly as possible to go into their classrooms. If your child is a Kindergarten student, please do not enter the Kindergarten Yard as a parent/guardian. Staff will be there to greet and organize students into their appropriate classes.

We recognize that your child’s first day of school is often associated with feelings of excitement, nervousness and anxiety. I will be in touch with all families at 4:00pm on Friday, August 29 to share the name of your child(ren)’s Homeroom Teacher. Please see the attached map of the school for meeting locations for the first day of school. Teachers will hold up their sign with their class name and Teacher Name, such as: 1A, 1B, etc., in their Area Door, (please see attached Map) so your child can more easily find which line-up to go toward. Homeroom Teachers will be out on the school yard at 8:30 am to greet children and assist them in lining up.

Safety For All

Please note that parents/guardians are not to park in or drive through the staff or visitor parking lots located on either side of the school during drop-off and pick up times. The exact times are posted on metal signs at the Entrance of the large parking lot, as Buses are the priority for the parking lot. Families must use the lay-by out front of the school for quick drop offs or may park on side streets close by and walk students to the front of the school. If you can walk your child to school, this will help with not creating more traffic congestion, as it can be very busy at drop off and pick up times of day.

A scanned map of the school is included at the bottom of this message that indicates the areas labeled “A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H.”  Please click on the attachment.

Meeting Spots For STUDENTS ONLY:

Kindergarten - Students are to meet their ECE and Teachers in the Kindergarten Yard at the front of the school

Students in AUTA and AUTB will be met at transportation vans by Staff

Classes 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D - meet by Door G
